  • Tryouts required (usually has JV and Varsity teams)

  • 9th grade through 12th grade

  • High time commitment (varies based on school)

  • Sideline and Competitive teams (varies based on school)

  • Low cost

  • Local competitions with some regional travel (varies based on school)

  • Highly recommend going to college cheer clinics​ (participants can start as early as 9th grade)

  • Create a social media account to post your skills

  • Follow prospective schools

  • New collegiate teams are being added every year to become a fully sanctioned NCAA championship sport
